Nathaniel Eschler, M.M., Ph.D.

Music Teacher

Dr. Nathaniel Eschler is a composer, guitarist, and theorists. In 2012 Nathaniel completed his Ph.D. in music theory and composition from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. While at Brandeis, Nathaniel focused on musical narrative and the music of Elliott Carter. Nathaniel also has an M.M. from the University of Utah in music theory and composition and a B.A. in classical guitar performance form the College of Charleston.

While devoted to both composition and guitar, Nathaniel is also interested in music as a rehabilitative element for both individuals and society. Having worked for, and in the process of starting, el Sistema inspired programs Nathaniel believes that music can heal and bring people cooperatively together. While at Vista, Nathaniel is working to improve the citizen first and the musician second.
